Description: A tall thin leafed plant most often used as a graze crop or hay crop. Be sure to get wild alfalfa or if you get it from a commercial farming source make sure it is pesticide free. Monsanto does also make a genetically modified version of alfalfa

Preparation/Storage: Alfalfa can be served fresh or dried. Stored dried alfalfa in airtight plastic bags and fresh alfalfa can be packaged and frozen.
